- Some more Russian nuclear threats "On a Russian state TV program, member of the State Duma Aleksey Zhuravlyov insulted German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and threatened Germany with a nuclear strike." "Who are you, you bastard? If you can't accept our rules - we'll make you accept them! And Scholz should know for a fact - if you force us to use nuclear weapons, we will have no other option." Zhuravlev stated on the TV program. |

Re: Russia/Ukraine War Discussion/thoughts Thread
Man the Ukrainian high command finally noticed Yuri's crazy antics "Some incompetent executives today issued an order banning me from visiting military units on the front lines. This decision interferes with my work on recording interviews with our soldiers on the front lines, where I am now, and on objective coverage of the difficult situation in Donbas. I understand that in this way I decided to take revenge on the notes of the responsibility of the authorities for preparing for war and the threatening situation in donbas. All the warriors on the front lines understand perfectly that I have not posted any secrets, but contributed to several threatening situations. Including thanks to personal presence. The frontliners need the truth, support them with a personal presence on the frontline where it is dangerous, and an understanding of the real problems. I find such a "declaration of war" by some people in the OP a very harmful and dangerous revenge, and an attempt to remove me from objective coverage of the situation, and provoke a division in society. And it's dangerous because of the lack of objective view of combat in donbas. Therefore, I demand the OP leadership to review their guidelines immediately, and revoke this absurd disposition. Otherwise, I will come back from the frontline to cover the political situation and spend time to demonstrate your numerous mistakes and inaction. I haven't written anything about the office in three months, and I see you thought someone was scared of you here. War is a more important issue now than politics, but if you don't cancel your disgraceful guidance immediately, I'll start writing something about politics too, and deal with those who don't get out of the bunker and out of office for three months, and interfere with covering wars right where she feels the hardest. Of course, I will not have less information from the front, but there will be more time for analysis. Waiting for an immediate disposition." https://www.facebook.com/butusov.yuriy |

Re: Russia/Ukraine War Discussion/thoughts Thread
They're too proud, paranoid and corrupt to have a permanent place in modern society. Not saying other countries aren't, Russia just excels at it. They need a hard reset. But that can only come if the average Russian sees it as necessary. The fall of the Soviet Union certainly helped, but the Soviet Union and its mentality gave birth to awful people like Putin. That Soviet mentality still very much exists and it's not helping them.
