Re: ISRAEL & US vs IRAN Discussion Thread
March yesterday in London in which Iranians against the regime and supporting current US/Israel action took to the streets in a show of unity. I could'nt estimate how many came but the people spread as far as I could see. No arrests were made. the day previously there was a pro regime march and a number of arrests were made. |

Re: ISRAEL & US vs IRAN Discussion Thread
FROM PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP WE GOT HIM! My fellow Americans, over the past several hours, the United States Military pulled off one of the most daring Search and Rescue Operations in U.S. History, for one of our incredible Crew Member Officers, who also happens to be a highly respected Colonel, and who I am thrilled to let you know is now SAFE and SOUND! This brave Warrior was behind enemy lines in the treacherous mountains of Iran, being hunted down by our enemies, who were getting closer and closer by the hour, but was never truly alone because his Commander in Chief, Secretary of War, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and fellow Warfighters were monitoring his location 24 hours a day, and diligently planning for his rescue. At my direction, the U.S. Military sent dozens of aircraft, armed with the most lethal weapons in the World, to retrieve him. He sustained injuries, but he will be just fine. This miraculous Search and Rescue Operation comes in addition to a successful rescue of another brave Pilot, yesterday, which we did not confirm, because we did not want to jeopardize our second rescue operation. This is the first time in military memory that two U.S. Pilots have been rescued, separately, deep in Enemy Territory. WE WILL NEVER LEAVE AN AMERICAN WARFIGHTER BEHIND! The fact that we were able to pull off both of these operations, without a SINGLE American killed, or even wounded, just proves once again, that we have achieved overwhelming Air Dominance and Superiority over the Iranian skies. This is a moment that ALL Americans, Republican, Democrat, and everyone else, should be proud of and united around. We truly have the best, most professional, and lethal Military in the History of the World. GOD BLESS AMERICA, GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS, AND HAPPY EASTER TO ALL! |

Re: ISRAEL & US vs IRAN Discussion Thread
I’d love to know what the normal American citizens think of this action by Trump It seems all that has happened is that the ordinary person is paying more for fuel and will continue to see increases in prices of anything linked to oil products. Edit: not just that but if he does start bombing the power stations and infrastructure which is a war crime Do the pilots also get charged with war crimes ? How does that work |

Re: ISRAEL & US vs IRAN Discussion Thread
Lol...Is it not a war crime to kill innocent Iranian's. For Iran, Lebanon, Palestine, Yemen to launch unguided missiles into Israel? Oct. 7th? Rape and murder children/women/men? Store weapons/fight from hospitals and mosques? Don't tell us about your war crimes.

Re: ISRAEL & US vs IRAN Discussion Thread
Personally, I see no benefit in even talking about what I think of Trump or any of his actions. It's not going to change anything, it just creates more division. I'd rather talk about anything else for the next 1019 days. As far as war crimes, the term gets thrown around a lot, but it has a specific meaning under international law. It's things like intentionally targeting civilians, torture, or attacking infrastructure with no military purpose. War crimes happen in most wars, and the standard is supposed to apply to everyone, not just one side. But accountability is rare. It usually depends on who loses or whether there’s enough international pressure. On the pilot question, they’re not automatically charged just for following orders. Responsibility usually falls higher up. But "just following orders" isn’t a blanket defense. If someone knowingly carries out an unlawful order, they can still be held accountable, if it’s ever actually investigated and prosecuted. And to your point about costs, that’s what actually hits regular people first. That will intensify anger among those already enraged, change some hearts and minds, and for others, it won’t make a difference at all.

Re: ISRAEL & US vs IRAN Discussion Thread
Realpolitik dictates that no US political leader, now or in the near future, will ever face international war crimes charges, both because of the severe ramifications this would entail and because President Reagan terminated the US's acceptance of the compulsory jurisdiction of the ICJ.

Re: ISRAEL & US vs IRAN Discussion Thread
War crimes is a term they came up with after world War 2 so they could execute nazis. Mind you thr nazis deserved it, but every War since has had War crimes, but because the US is top dog they'll never answer for it. |
