What is verifiable right now

There was a real strike event and real destruction at or near the girls' primary school site in Minab (Hormozgan Province). Multiple outlets have verified aftermath visuals (rubble, smoke, crowds searching) as authentic and from Minab.

The reported casualty figures (examples reported: 40+, 100+, 148+, 165+) are coming primarily from Iranian officials and Iranian state media and are not independently confirmed on the ground due to access limits and wartime conditions.

The school location being near a military linked site (often described as an IRGC related facility or barracks or base in the area) is repeatedly mentioned in major reporting. However, the exact relationship (adjacent, nearby, within a compound, or simply in the same area) is still not consistently documented with a single public, authoritative, map based finding.

What each side is claiming about who did it

Iran's official position: Iranian authorities have blamed the US and Israel, often described as a joint US Israeli strike during the broader campaign.

US position (public): US Central Command has said it is aware of reports of civilian harm, is looking into the incident, and emphasizes that it does not target civilians.

Israel position (public): Israeli military spokespersons have said they are "not aware" of an Israeli or American strike on that school or site.

Is there verifiable evidence it was a false flag (Iran hit it themselves on purpose)?

At this moment, there is no publicly available, independently verified evidence that conclusively demonstrates a deliberate Iranian false flag operation (for example, confirmed launch data, confirmed weapon fragments tied to an Iranian system, authenticated internal orders, or a credible independent investigation establishing intent).

An official incident review (US or Israel) with target lists and strike logs, or an independent UN style fact finding report with on site access.

Multiple consistent eyewitness accounts that are independently corroborated, not only state media and not only social media.

Bottom line

Confirmed: strike damage occurred at the Minab girls' school site, and verified visuals exist.

Not confirmed: who launched the weapon that caused the school deaths, and whether it was direct targeting, collateral damage from a nearby strike, an accident or malfunction, or an Iranian misfire.

No verifiable proof, at this time, of a false flag.
