Re: ☠️ISRAEL & US vs. IRAN Conflict Media Thread

The IDF hit multiple air defence sites belonging to the Iranian regime. One of the targeted systems housed surface-to-air missiles designed to engage aircraft. Following the strike, secondary explosions were observed, confirming the presence of missiles in the launcher.

Re: ☠️ISRAEL & US vs. IRAN Conflict Media Thread

Your comment is a bit cynical and exaggerating facts.

Fact is, the U.S capacity is not technically being wasted, they are hitting important stuff. But brute force just won't achieve what the U.S administration want. The strait is just too easy to block and bombing Iran's military infrastructure won't stop that.

This being said, it shows how utterly incompetent this administration is... i'm not even in the military and even though i know a few things or 2 on military strategy, i'm not a 4 star general and i could have told people that any attack on Iran would be a terrible idea and it should basically never be done unless they act first.

But hey! We know who's war it is (Natanyahu) and why Trump fell for it (Epstein stuff)

Re: ☠️ISRAEL & US vs. IRAN Conflict Media Thread

Corsair unmanned surface vessels hit Iranian submarine and ship maintenance facility at Bandar Abbas, a month after drone boat rescued downed US aircrew in Strait of Hormuz.

The American military on Monday published footage showing its first-ever operational use of suicide drone boats during strikes on Iran’s Bandar Abbas naval base the previous day.

“Three Corsair unmanned surface vessels hit the port at Bandar Abbas Naval Base, marking the first time American forces have employed sea drones in combat operations,” the US Central Command said on X, attaching a video showing the drone boats maneuvering into the port and striking an Iranian submarine and ship maintenance facility.

“Last night’s strikes degraded Iran’s ability to continue attacking commercial shipping,” CENTCOM added.

Corsair drones, manufactured by Saronic, are 24 feet (7.3 meters) long, can carry payloads of 1,000 pounds (450 kg), and boast a range of over 1,000 nautical miles (1,850 km), according to the company.

Last month, a US Navy drone rescued the crew from a downed US helicopter that was hit by an Iranian drone over the Strait of Hormuz, also a first-ever such incident.

Iran has used sea drones to attack oil tankers in the Gulf at least twice during the recent war with the US and Israel.

Uncrewed vessels have risen to prominence in recent years after Ukraine used explosive‑laden speedboats to inflict significant damage on Russia’s Black Sea Fleet.

Re: ☠️ISRAEL & US vs. IRAN Conflict Media Thread

1. Two U.S. service members were killed, four wounded, and one remains missing after a barrage of Iranian medium-range ballistic missiles successfully penetrated joint U.S.-Jordanian air defenses, striking the strategic Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in northern Jordan.

The attack, which took place during the pre-dawn hours of Saturday, July 18, marks the first time American troops have been killed on Jordanian soil in the current conflict, triggering immediate and heavy U.S. retaliatory airstrikes deep inside Iranian territory.

According to U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) launched a synchronized wave of sophisticated ballistic missiles aimed directly at the base, which serves as a critical logistics and drone hub for American operations in the region.

Base alarms sounded around 2:00 AM local time as joint Patriot air defense units engaged multiple incoming threats. While several missiles were successfully intercepted, at least two high-speed, maneuverable warheads breached the defensive shield and hit the base.

Satellite data from NASA's FIRMS later confirmed intense thermal signatures concentrated around structural facilities and the living quarters housing American personnel.

Two American service members were pronounced dead at the scene. Four others sustained severe shrapnel and blast injuries and were rushed to Jordanian hospitals. Emergency crews continue to comb through the rubble of destroyed buildings, as one American remains missing.

The deaths immediately prompted a fierce response from Washington. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth honored the fallen troops, while President Donald Trump ordered the U.S. military to execute a series of swift, punitive countermeasures.

By Saturday evening, CENTCOM had launched waves of retaliatory airstrikes targeting IRGC command facilities, ballistic missile storage units, and air defense systems inside Iran.

Pentagon officials stated these strikes were specifically calibrated to degrade Iran’s offensive capabilities and punish the regime for the loss of American lives.

The attack on Muwaffaq Salti, also known as Al-Azraq Air Base, signals a dangerous expansion of the fighting beyond the Persian Gulf.

Observers note that by directly striking a sovereign partner nation like Jordan, Tehran has demonstrated a willingness to hit U.S. assets anywhere in the Middle East.

The Pentagon is currently reviewing why the base’s air defense systems failed to intercept the fatal missiles, amidst concerns that Iran is employing advanced electronic warfare or swarm tactics to overwhelm American interceptors.

2/3. On Tuesday, July 14th footage captured the moment a volley of Iranian ballistic missiles slammed directly into King Faisal Air Base, in Jordan, triggering massive explosions that could be seen for miles across the desert landscape.

The strike was officially claimed by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as part of "Operation Nasr-2" (Victory-2). Tehran broadcasted the footage on state media, boasting a 100% success rate and claiming they completely leveled a housing facility on the base used by U.S. troops.

Jordanian military officials immediately pushed back against Iran's sweeping narrative. The Jordanian Armed Forces issued a statement clarifying that their airspace was violated and that they successfully intercepted four incoming missiles. They initially denied that any major infrastructure had been compromised or that casualties had occurred on the ground.

After the attack, independent tracking sources painted a much more volatile picture than either government initially admitted.

fresh satellite imagery and NASA’s FIRMS thermal data confirmed that genuine structural damage did occur at King Faisal Air Base. The data indicates direct hits on logistics structures and support facilities.

While the U.S. Pentagon initially stayed quiet to prevent a wider escalation, subsequent reports confirmed that several U.S. service members sustained injuries during the mid-July missile barrages across Jordan's bases.

Defense experts note that the King Faisal strike was a precursor to the even deadlier attack on Muwaffaq Salti Air Base days later.

Militarily, the IRGC appears to be utilizing high-volume "salvo warfare", firing cheap decoys and sophisticated ballistic missiles simultaneously, explicitly designed to bleed out and overwhelm American Patriot air defense interceptors.

Re: ☠️ISRAEL & US vs. IRAN Conflict Media Thread

An American-owned oil tanker caught fire off the coast of Sharjah (UAE) after being struck by a direct Iranian drone attack. The strike sent thick plumes of black smoke into the air, visible from the United Arab Emirates coastline.

The targeted drone strike on the U.S.-linked tanker off Sharjah has triggered severe ripple effects across global energy markets, crew safety protocols, and U.S. military operations.

Global crude oil benchmarks have broken past major thresholds. Brent North Sea Crude has climbed above $90 per barrel, and West Texas Intermediate (WTI) is trading above $83 per barrel.

Crew members on targeted vessels have increasingly been forced to abandon ship due to intense blazes sparked by drone and projectile strikes.

The Pentagon has now identified all three killed in the July 17 attack: Pvt. Isabella Gonzales, 19, of Carrollton, Texas; 1st Lt. Tyler James Feehan, 25, of Ewa Beach, Hawaii; and Sgt. Angel S. Rampersad, 28, of Ozone Park, New York, previously listed as missing and now believed dead.
