Mahmoud / Mohammad Sinwar took over Hamas' lead in Gaza, after his brother Yahya Sinwar was killed by IDF in Rafah. Seems there was a high ranking Hamas meeting inside the tunnels below the European Hospital in Khan Yunis. IAF bombed all known exits/entrances into the tunnels and dropped 9 bunker busters, which penetrated the underground structures. Similar to the strike which took out the Hizbollah lead in Beirut. The most lethal factor were carbon dioxide/monoxide flooding the tunnels, after the explosions took place. Thats the reason IAF also bombed Gazans in follow up strikes, who initially tried to dig them out. To give it the neccessary time that everyone suffocates inside the hit tunnel complex.

Wasnt this on the news showing that the video they showed of the hospital and its tunnels is actually a school some meters away? and that no tunnels were actually found. I might be wrong but im sure I saw something to that affect yesterday on sky news

I doubt that high level terrorist meetings take place in drainage channels. Sky (BBC too) always come up with these stories, while the rest of the press crowd reports otherwise. These tunnel networks are usually extensive and cover whole neighborhoods and cities. So, when there's a school next door, so be it. IDF obviously had good multspectral SAT footage to reveal underground structures for this location. The aftermath footage and the strikes as well took place in the hospital yard etc., so what are you suggesting? The craters and broken down tunnel sections won't lie. Also... Sinwar is gone.
