The IDF has announced the death of Cpt. Yogev Pazy, aged 22, from Giv'ot Bar, and Staff Sgt. Noam Eitan, aged 21, from Hadera. Another soldier was seriously injured in the same incident.

According to an initial IDF probe, the soldiers were liquidated in an exchange of fire with Hamas operatives in the northern Gaza Strip.

Captain Pazy was a platoon commander in the Nahshon Battalion (90) of the Kfir Brigade and Staff Sergeant Eitan was a soldier in the same battalion.

Captain Pazy is the nephew of former IDF Chief of Staff MK Gadi Eisenkot (National Unity). He was the son of Eisenkot's wife's sister. Eisenkot already lost his son and another nephew in the war, who both fell in the Gaza ground operation.

Cpt. Pazy was the nephew of former IDF chief of staff and former war cabinet observer minister Gadi Eisenkot. Eisenkot’s son, Master Sgt. (res.) Gal Meir Eisenkot, 25, was killed while fighting in Gaza in early December, followed by his nephew, Sgt. Maor Cohen Eisenkot, 19, a day later.

The IDF has announced the death of Sgt. First Class (res.) Omer Moshe Gaeldor, aged 30, from Jerusalem, a soldier from the 5111st Battalion, Golani Brigade.

According to an initial IDF probe, Gaeldor and three other soldiers were hit by an explosive-laden drone launched by Hezbollah during a logistics supply operation in southern Lebanon.

Gaeldor was killed and three other troops were seriously injured in the blast.

The IDF has announced the death of Sgt. First Class (res.) Roi Sasson, aged 21, of the Kfir Brigade’s Nahshon Battalion, from the Jerusalem suburb of Mevaseret Zion.

The commander of the Nachshon Battalion, Kfir Brigade, Lt. Col. Yoel Glickman, was seriously wounded in the same incident.

According to an initial IDF probe, the two were hit in an exchange of fire with Hamas operatives in the northern Gaza Strip.

The IDF has also announced the death of Ze’ev "Jabo" Hanoch Erlich, a 70-year-old Israeli civilian and renowned scholar of Israeli geography, who was killed during a Hezbollah ambush while accompanying an IDF force in southern Lebanon.

I think those stat comparisons would be meaningless. The Muslim combatants purposefully embed and fight from civilian zones, and wear civ clothes - versus a uniformed IDF force which has no option for winning except to target the embedded milops. Also, the accounting of the dead by the Muslims(=UN) are highly suspect, aside from outright lying, are counting dead fighters dressed in civ clothes as civ deaths.

Ukraine and Russia is entirely a different ball game.

Yup, these are two different conflicts and the enemy is very different.
Hamas is a fundamentalist religious organization. They want to die. Their population wants to die. They see death in a war against Israel as a prize...a win. Its their Jihad. Us westerners will never understand such a mindset. To see a mother smile and rejoice when she learns that her son was killed by IDF. For us...its bizarre.

In Gaza, there are a lot of "children" that are getting killed because of the huge number of militants are younger than 18 and therefore will be classified as children, even though they are full blown militants, running around with rocket launchers and machineguns. They raise their kids like ISIS raises theirs. As you all have probably seen, how isis trained their 10 year olds to kill.
Also, because few of their militants wear uniforms at all, they are all classified as civilians. When someone dies, their weapons are picked up and given to the next militant, and whats left behind are "civilian" corpses.
We can see that even here on documenting reality, where Hamas/Gaza militants post videos of their attacks, showing how they are wearing flip flops and regular t-shirts.

Israel does a lot to minimize civilian casualties. Sometimes they even go to ridiculous lengths, by announcing their targets in advance and firing warning shots. No other army does that.

Zeev ‘Jabo’ Erlich was one of the most prominent scholars, archaeologists, and investigators of the land of Israel

Erlich, a civilian from the village of Ofrah in Binyamin whose chief field of research was Arab villages and their connection to ancient Jewish communities, had been allowed by Golani brigade chief of staff Yoav Yoram into the western sector of southern Lebanon to examine an archaeological site – an ancient fortress in the village of Shim’a, reputed to be the burial site of Simeon, one of Jesus’s disciples.

Despite the belief that the area had been cleared, two Hezbollah operatives were hiding at the site and opened fire at the researcher, senior officer, and other soldiers who were accompanying them.

Erlich and another unnamed soldier were killed and an officer was severely wounded in the ambush

The ICC has finally issued an arrest warrant for Netanyahu. Unfortunately not for the deportation of children, but actual genocide of children through starvation and bombing places of civilian refuge
I doubt he will be brought to justice but it will feel weird cheering for Israel now that they are officially doing genocide
