Israeli strike said to kill senior Hezbollah officer and convicted assassin Salim Ayash, wanted for killing the Lebanese PM in a 2005 motorcade bombing.

Syrian and Lebanese reports indicate that a senior Hezbollah official, Salim Ayash, was killed in one of the latest attacks attributed to Israel in Al-Qusayr, Syria.

Ayash, in addition to being a senior member of Hezbollah, orchestrated the assassination of the Lebanese Prime Minister, Rafik al-Hariri in 2005.

Al Hariri was killed with 8 of his bodyguards.

Ayyash, who had a $10 million reward from Washington on his head, was a senior member of Hezbollah’s Unit 151 assassination squad, according to the US State Department.

In 2020, Ayyash was sentenced in absentia to life imprisonment by a UN-backed tribunal over the assassination of former Lebanese prime minister Rafiq Hariri in a suicide bombing in Beirut in 2005.

Then-Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, who was killed in an Israeli strike in late September, refused to hand him over to the authorities, alongside three other defendants who were eventually acquitted.

3. Staff Sgt. Gary Lalhruaikima Zolat, 21, from Afula.

4. Staff Sgt. Ofir Eliyahu, 20, from Holon.

So take the number of total casualties,
Divide them by the length of the conflict.
Also compare them to the entire population.

Also do that for the woman and kids casualties?

Again, only if that is allowed.

My point is, I understand the ICC and many human rights organisations would classify what is happening in Gaza as genocide, but the same can be said for Ukraine

I think those stat comparisons would be meaningless. The Muslim combatants purposefully embed and fight from civilian zones, and wear civ clothes - versus a uniformed IDF force which has no option for winning except to target the embedded milops. Also, the accounting of the dead by the Muslims(=UN) are highly suspect, aside from outright lying, are counting dead fighters dressed in civ clothes as civ deaths.

Ukraine and Russia is entirely a different ball game.
