Re: ISRAEL/PALESTINE/IRAN/LEBANON Conflict Discussion Thread VI (2024)
It seems that I'm back in buisiness. Thx to Chris and Kellyhound. Its now getting obvious that anti-Iran and Pro-Israel presidential candidate D.J. Trump might win the election. For Ukraine it might be very, very sad. But for Israel everything would change. Unshackled from Biden and his administration, IDF would have alot more breathing space in Gaza and South Lebanon. There are high chances that Israeli gouvernment might stall all negotiations for a new 'deal' with Hamas, until the new US administration will be inaugurated. That means there won't be any hostages released anytime soon. It already happens: Israel is making new demands, while declining some of Hamas' key demands (like abandoning Philadelphi corrdor). To counter that, the families of the captured Nahal Oz survilance soldiers published new pics showing their daughters in captivity. To apply domestic pressure to the gouvernment to make a deal asap. Pvt Liri Albag, Pvt Agam Berger, Cpl Daniella Gilboa and Cpl Karina Ariev. A still from a video showing them on the day of the abduction, Oct 7th. All lightly wounded. IDF obtained the footage in Gaza. Pvt Naama Levy, the one from this iconic Jeep scene in Gaza City. Seperated from the others. Looks severed. Beaten and strangulation marks on her neck (? mildly censored cause of self harm?). Quite influential in Israel. Hostage families fighting for an immeadiate deal with hamas to get their daughters free. Most of the media and political left seem to have aligned with them. I doubt they will be successful. The Prime Minister and his right wing coalition want to apply more pressure to get a more favorable deal with Hamas. IDF is widening the Philadelphi corridor to Egyt to further seal off Hamas from their logistics base. They are currently razing everything there (+800m, +1000m width) and build field fortifications. They will stay longer... Here the western flank of the corridor towards the Mediterranean. Before and after IDF happened. IDF doing alot earth works. They will likely stay at the Egyptian border. Similar for the Netzarim corridow which seperates North Gaza strip from the rest. These two axis' will be Israeli tools to control the strip and to do targeted raids from there. Vid: The corridor before and after. Everything gets removed. |

Welcome back. If it's any consolation, I've been auto banned too. I had many DR tabs open once when adding hashtags and it thought I was mass downloading.

Re: ISRAEL/PALESTINE/IRAN/LEBANON Conflict Discussion Thread VI (2024)
Appeared on Twitter and Telegram. An IDF soldier claimed they've located the bodies of dead hostages in Gaza. The body bags are about to be transported out of Gaza in this vid (looks like interiour of a Narmer IFV). Turns out it might be real. Its now announced that 5 abductees were declared dead: Ravid Katz Oren Goldin Mia Goren Tomer Achims Kirill Brodtsky According to rumors they never survived the Oct 7th onslaught. Just their bodies were taken to Gaza. |

Cargo Ship Guards Shot Down Houthi Naval Drone In The Red Sea It took the crew two guns and 20 shots to blow up a Houthi drone that had sailed close to a container ship, a task made more difficult by the fact that both the target and the shooters were moving. A container ship in the Red Sea narrowly escaped being hit by a sea drone loaded with explosives, launched by Iranian proxy Houthis from the coast of Yemen. |

Re: ISRAEL/PALESTINE/IRAN/LEBANON Conflict Discussion Thread VI (2024)
There was speculation about the attack that killed the Hamas leader at the end of the previous thread. Turns out the attack was not by air but the bomb was planted months in advance. This is what 4D chess looks like. https://www.nytimes.com/2024/08/01/w...iran-bomb.html I apologize for the NYT article. It was first on the list and I’m lazy. |

IDF aircraft strikes Tulkarm terror cell in vehicle, Hamas commander reportedly killed. The Hamas-affiliated Safa News Agency reported that among those killed in the strike was Sheikh Haitham Balidi, a leader of Tulkarm's Izzadin al-Qassam Brigades. An Israeli aircraft struck a terror cell inside a vehicle in the area of Tulkarm, in the West Bank, the IDF reported on Saturday morning, a report that was echoed in Arab media. Dr. Amin Khader, the Director of Thabet Governmental Hospital in Tulkarm, stated that there were five total fatalities, including the 25-year-old Balidi, as a result of the strike, the Hamas-affiliated media outlet cited him as saying. |
