It's not an act. Doctor's cannot pronounce someone dead just by looking at them and saying they look dead. It doesn't work like that. The doctor is assessing for vital signs. Every doctor is ethically and morally obligated to assess for even the slightest possible signs of life. If there are none, then he pronounces them dead. The baby could have had a very faint and weak heart beat. How would you like it if you looked dead and the doctor says, "He looks dead, send him to the funeral home." Then right when they start embalming you, you become conscious.

What a great guy, checking for a heartbeat on a baby who is clearly dead with its fucking leg hanging off. Oh, just to add to the dramatics ~dO iT oN cAmERa~

Sure, he's assessing the vitals but he's turning it into a publicity stunt - the photos of the poor baby were enough to prove the little one was deceased, why continue to poke and prod at it via a fucking video?
