I noticed that as well. I believe the guy who jumped actually happened and they didn't expect it. So they likely, "reenacted" the fall with another prisoner by tossing him over?

If you look closely, he landed ass first, and from a height well below the, "splatter" threshold. He likely had massive internal hemorrhages, and was likely still breathing only reflexively. "Alive" and "aware/conscious" are very different things.
