Re: Iran Protests 2022
1. Large day of protests throughout Iran today. Crowds in Tehran this eve chanting “Death to the Dictator”. Popular anger shows no signs of subsiding. 2. Karan, Iran. Saturday. Women marching without hijab. Protests continue 3. # Unbelievable, she stands with empty hands confronting the brutal security forces # Mashad # Iran 4. A girls' school in Iran brought a member of the IRGC-run Basij paramilitary to speak to students. The girls welcomed the speaker by taking off their headscarves & chanting "get lost, Basiji". Teenage girls have been at the forefront of protests for days. 5. “Don’t beat up my wife, she is pregnant” This is what a young man in the video keeps repeating but see how many armed officers from security force in Rafsanjan, Iran beat her up & arrest them both for protesting the murder of # MahsaAmini Be our voice. 6. An elderly Iranian man using a walker joins protestors in Iran. He chants “Freedom! Freedom! Freedom!” The younger women protestors chant the same thing in return! 7. This video was sent with the message: “All of the security forces had to fall back to bases outside the city of Javanrood, west of Iran. People took over the city.” We could confirm at least the footage is indeed from Javanrood.

Re: Iran Protests 2022
Funny to think, forty-three years ago, the old guy was probably joining protests calling to overthrow the Shah and bring Ayatollah Khomeini into power. Nice suit. Probably fit twenty years and fifty pounds ago. |

Re: Iran Protests 2022
1. "Iranian authorities deny the use of excessive force. They claim that some of those killed during the protests committed suicide. They lie. They brutally use excessive force in a lot of situations. Like this:" 2. 8 October 2022: "BREAKING: Video - confirmed in the last few mins - from Javanrud (west of Iran) shows rockets being fired from the ground. These are no longer scenes of protests. These are scenes of civil war and revolution. # IranRevolution" 3. 10 October 2022: "Iranian protestors rip down a poster of Qasem Soleimani in Shiraz/Fars Province."

Re: Iran Protests 2022
1. "Breaking: Elnaz Rekabi, the Iranian climber who competed without wearing a scarf has disappeared. BBC Persian reports; A well-informed source told the BBC that Elnaz’s friends say they have not been able to conta her since last night. BBC contacted the hotel in South Korea where the Iranian team was staying and learned that the team members left the hotel on Monday morning" 2. "BREAKING: Iranian athlete Elnaz Rekabi, who went viral after refusing to wear a headscarf while competing in Seoul, had her phone and passport confiscated. Her current status is unknown - BBC"

Re: Iran Protests 2022
Protests don’t spontaneously happen. Especially not in extremely repressive regimes, like Iran or Syria, or Libya. Someone has been planning these protests for years. Planning, financing etc. On the surface, it’s the people of Iran protesting in the name of freedom etc. But underneath, you’ll find three-lettered agencies, huge corporations… entities who don’t give a shit about our freedom. The death of this young lady was the catalyst. Anyway, that’s what it looks like to me.

Re: Iran Protests 2022
ohh thats what I thought, but decided to ask. Well I do think that revolution which was ran by people and people only is such a rare thing I honestly dont even remember one, but only If we are talking about country with the strong political institutes and army, that has a mid to big influence in the region. There are always will be forces to fuel the movement. Sometimes you can tell by looking at the media sources. If they were portraying the leader of the county as killer or tyrant and during revolution they would all of a sudden portrait some new guy nobody knows about as a true patriot and light of freedom than, most likely, they are talking about their puppet |
