Re: Iran Protests 2022
People have been fed up for over 20 years. Now it's a new generations turn, and they have had enough. NO there aren't any letter agencies involved! Don't you think the protesters would be better armed? And a LOT more organized? And just WHO is this new leader that the puppet masters have supposedly chosen? Got a name or an ID? I doubt it, because there isn't anyone else involved except a new generation that wants their country back, and are tired of the religious bullshit. That's all it is. |

Re: Iran Protests 2022
I dont know if they have one yet. have you herd of one? NO! Even if there is someone its too early for coming out. Fact is new generation had enough of this BS and there is a definitely a spark, once there is a fire you will have your leader. While government still standing and army with police on their side its dangerous to show your face. |

Re: Iran Protests 2022
I don't know... but you make it sound like it's controlled by nothing but US/western interests and only "Iranian" on the surface. This looks to be nationwide and people are genuinely angry it looks to me.

Re: Iran Protests 2022
It also looks like Iran is using the protests as an occasion to purge dissidents and enact more repressive measures against the people. And if the intelligence agencies of the US and of Iran’s rivals and enemies have no strategy to leverage the protests to their advantage by now, they are completely useless. The ultimate loser is the Iranian people, either way.

Re: Iran Protests 2022
There are countless revolutions led by "the people" to choose from... what do you mean? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...bellions#1970s This is just some of them from the last 50 years but the list goes on and on all the way back to BC. There are all types of revolutions in this list... and plenty led by "the people". Of course there are going to be government and political figures involved in many cases. Revolution is all about rising up to the powers that be. I also know that the US is involved in many, many things globally... more than I, as an American, feel comfortable with. But the world does not "revolve" around the US... even though our government may think it does. Arab Spring in Egypt is just one of many recent examples - it was started and led by the youth of Egypt. The CIA didn't encourage those people to stand up... in fact the Mubarak government received support from the west. I'm starting to notice a few of you implying that the US is involved in absolutely everything that goes on in the world. In some cases yes, in others definitely not. Religion and oppression is also a major factor in MANY revolutions and rebellions. PS. Save the trashing of Wikipedia as a source for this instance... you can't trash it as a source when I use it and then turn around and use it to support your own arguments which has been done in here.

Re: Iran Protests 2022
I could come up with only one that happened recently..Sri-Lanka. Small country no-one gives a damn about. So im pretty sure that was peoples revolution. About wiki ... I dont think I ever denied wiki as a bad source...or did I? I honestly dont remember...with wiki information like you posted do not prove anyone wrong or right, its a neutral information, so I would lean more to believe than not. |

Re: Iran Protests 2022
Wikipedia is not a source btw, it should provide verifiable information (as in: link to the/a source), but it is often a semi-biased interpretation of said sourced information. Kids learn this in school btw. Source: Myself; I was part of the school newspaper |

Re: Iran Protests 2022
In their defence; a lot of their governmental forces were bombed/killed by foreign armies, and foreign actors armed and trained extremists to also fight against Syrian governmental forces. Now foreign armies not only try and kill the governmental forces but foreign armies also try and kill their trained extremists who, who would have thought, got designated terrorists later. |

Re: Iran Protests 2022
There was no wikipedia when I was in school. There was no public internet when I graduated high school. The library was our internet.
