 Young men being killed in military combat generally is pretty sad. Seeing pictures of dead soldiers you don't know if they harmed civilians or not. Russian POWs who surrendered are afraid of being executed if they returned to Russia. I can imagine the same sort of attitude would have been applied for soldiers wanting to disobey the command given to them. Tens of thousands of young men being commanded to their deaths, for what? I know this is a website where we look at photos of dead people, but at least have some thought. No more brother wars. |

That would kinda defeat the entire point of taking over the city if you bomb it to a bunch of useless ruins though. Same reason why Russia has been taking over ukrainian power plants, not bombing them to the ground.
