Re: Combatant Walks on Top of a Landmine in Eastern Europe.
This is a HOF-level post on here. I love when DR is an objective discussion of some kind of death/gore situation rather than a bunch of degenerates just spewing trash at each other. |

The Russians unlike most countries never got into making anti-personnel landmines with minimal metal content. The PMN-4 contains lots of metal that can be picked up by a metal detector. |

Honestly I don't think that's him screaming, I think thats some sort of audio thing with the gopro. After absorbing all that explosion people are usually in shock and or unconscious. The screaming happens more with fragmentation wounds than HE blams.

Re: Combatant Walks on Top of a Landmine in Eastern Europe.
I wouldn't want to step on a PMN-4 landmine like he did. But if I did step on one, I would rather be in the running shoes. When penetrated, the running shoes lightweight upper does little to trap and prevent the blast from dissipating into the surroundings. Yes, the foot will be disintegrated in the process, but its better than having the high top tactical boots force the blast further up the leg and causing you to loose it higher up. |

Well, every reader learned a LOT about land mines. I think this post should be "Post Of The Week" if Chris ever starts such a category. The very best posts, nominated by members, put into one sequential thread.
