I blew up and magnified the data plate on that rocket launcher. It CLEARLY says "ACME Coyote Rocket Launcher and Floating Anvil Company, Hollywood, California". |

Chinese rocket launcher with report / happy ending I see outlines of people still standing after the blast. Looked more like a 'genie puff' of the propellant than a concussive blast, so maybe the bystanders were only a bit blackened...that's my opinion after a youth misspent on multiple launch systems with Chinese bottle rockets |

Re: Chinese-made Multiple Rocket Launcher Explodes As Cambodian Soldiers Fire
The malfunction caused a catastrophic blast, killing eight Cambodian soldiers on the spot. The launcher erupted in flames, with rockets detonating inside the tubes, a "cook-off" phenomenon, snapping the launch platform upward and triggering secondary explosions. Multiple similar explosions involving Type 90B systems occured since mid-December and up to 5 incidents attributed to overheating or poor-quality materials. The type 90B MLRS manufacturer is Norinco, a China's state-owned arms giant. It'sa reverse-engineered version of the Soviet-era BM-21 Grad 122mm rocket launcher. Cambodia has acquired dozens of these systems (along with older PHL-81 variants and heavier PHL-03), as part of a shift toward Chinese military hardware since the early 2020's. They were deployed in the current conflict to offset Thailand's advantages. |

Ye wiped the floor with me Kelly, wiped the floor! But I needed correcting, a gross of Whistling Air Travellers shooting from a coffee can in a few seconds is no comparison to the latest Chinese Katayusha rocket knock offs exploding in the launch tubes
