Re: Afghan Soldiers killed surrendering to Taliban
maybe this: Local sources in Faryab province confirm that at least 23 commandos were killed last night in an ambush by Taliban fighters in Dolatabad district of the province. Fawzia Rufi, a Faryab MP, told Khama Press that the incident took place last night (Wednesday, June 26) in the Dawlatabad district center. According to Ms. Rufi, "23 new commandos came to the district yesterday to clear the Dawlatabad district of the Taliban and were killed in an ambush by the group." "When the new forces arrive in Dawlatabad district, they enter a barracks and the barracks are surrounded on three sides by Taliban fighters, resulting in all of them, including Sohrab Azimi, the son of General Zahir Azimi, a former ministry spokesman," he said. "National defense will be killed." One member of the House of Representatives says one of the reasons the troops were killed was the lack of air support. "When they were besieged by the Taliban, they asked us for air help," he said. "But this assistance was not provided due to the lack of army helicopters." The lawmaker also said that the fighting in Dowlatabad district of Faryab province had intensified and that if the government did not pay attention, the Taliban would create a catastrophe. Meanwhile, Aq Mohammad Nouri, a member of the Faryab Provincial Council, told Khameh Press that several other members of the security and defense forces had been killed in the clashes. The Faryab provincial council member stressed that a number of government forces, including army commandos, had been captured by Taliban fighters in Dolatabad district. He said the Taliban now controlled the district. On the other hand, the 209th Shaheen Corps said that 45 fighters were killed and 67 others were wounded as a result of clashes between government forces and the Taliban and airstrikes on the group's positions and gatherings in Dolatabad and Shirin Tagab districts. Dawlatabad district is the second district of Faryab to fall to the Taliban this month. Qaisar district, 26 km from Maimana city, the capital of the province, came under Taliban control earlier this month |

Re: Afghan Soldiers killed surrendering to Taliban
You know, you are already gone when those scumbags had you surrounded. Might as well take a few out in your way out. Did they actually believe they had a chance of surviving if they surrendered? ![]() |

They are getting what they deserved. They want the Taliban, they got it. I hope they enjoy it. If you don't want to fight for your country, then I guess you can suffer the consequences.
