Even tho I wanted Wagners to succeed, but at the same time I had a feeling it would bring way much more problems, chaos and a lot more blood. Revolution is a dangerous thing and it’s hard to keep it under control and send it into the right direction.

I learned of all this when it was basically done (i was at a wedding), but I realised that Russia needs Wagner as we are basically in the endgame now. I don’t expect another big counteroffensive, at least not with western funding. Any potential ceasefire will be met with Zelensky replaced/executed by former Azov guys. Then it would get real ugly, and Wagner should be the ones to fight the new Kiev government as Russia can semi-distance themselves from them.

So my guess was Russia would reach some sort of agreement; promise that Wagner would get to rule parts of Ukraine which they conquer. Now I read that Wagner will be stationed 100KM from Kiev, don’t know if true, but yeah that does make some sense.

And now the world knows that Wagner does not listen to Putin and is not under Russian control, so I guess they are the perfect tool for the job to finish off Kiev once their civil war has started.

That came from a pro-Russian source (Форпост - vorposte) and later shared by many other sources from both sides. I'm sure there was a shit ton of misinformation throughout but likely coming from all directions. Many pro-Russian source seemed to support Prigozhin. Some did not.

Seems like wishful thinking. This is some of the most ridiculous shit I've seen you say in a while. I don't see anyone from Russia attempting to march on Kyiv again. They had an opportunity to do that in the beginning of the invasion and fucked it up, royally.

There were multiple counteroffenses launched as Prigozhin tucked his tail between his legs yesterday, with successes in parts of Donetsk that had been occupied since 2014. But go ahead and keep thinking it's mostly over.

ISW writing Bakhmut was worthless combined with Zelensky claiming they were not going to abandon it, made me assume that they would announce their tactical retreat in less than 2 weeks. Don’t know how long it took eventually, was it 4 weeks, 6 weeks?
