Waesche Seizes 1,570 Kg of Cocaine in Eastern Pacific
Coast Guard Cutter Waesche (WMSL 751) interdicted a Go-Fast vessel in the Eastern Pacific Ocean on Feb. 3, 2025. Waesche seized about 1,570 kg of cocaine and apprehended three suspected drug smugglers. The interdiction involved Waesche's Long Range Interceptor small boat, HITRON 25-03, PACTACLET LEDET 103, and a ScanEagle team. Members of Law Enforcement Detachment 103 and Waesche seized control of the Go-Fast vessel. Waesche later sank it because it posed a hazard to navigation.  ·  ·  ·
