Spain - Lumian - BA 683453 Shipyard Accident
The French fishing vessel "Lumian" has capsized yesterday on the port side when it was hoisted in the Burela dry dock to carry out maintenance work, reports the digital edition of La Voz de Galicia. We must remember that this ship suffered another similar incident in 2019, then in the Oza dock, in the port of A Coruña. No injuries to be regretted. It is estimated that due to its dimensions of 33 m in length and 320 tons of dead weight “straightening it to carry out maintenance work and its subsequent departure could be a matter of weeks or months. On the previous occasion, she capsized in March 2019, and did not leave the port of Oza until August of that same year, ”adds La Voz de Galicia.

The lower-middle-side was distorting a lot. I guess there was too much of a point-load (support) at that location.
