Passenger Emergency on Legend 55 Miles Off Point Loma
Coast Guard Sector San Diego personnel responded to a medical emergency aboard the charter fishing vessel Legend about 55 miles west of Point Loma on Oct. 12, 2023. Coast Guard watchstanders received a distress call from the vessel reporting that a 79-year-old male passenger had lost consciousness and fallen, with signs of a heart attack.
