Four Rescued from Scotch Mist South of Block Island
Coast Guard air and surface crews responded May 12, 2026, after the sailing vessel Scotch Mist reported taking on water offshore south of Block Island, Rhode Island. Four mariners from Scotch Mist were transported to the Coast Guard Cutter William Chadwick about 150 nautical miles (about 170 miles) south of Block Island.  ·  ·  ·
