Coast Guard Tows Adrift Sailboat 5 Miles Off Galveston
A 45-foot Response Boat-Medium crew from Coast Guard Station Galveston assisted a disabled, adrift sailboat approximately 5 miles offshore Galveston, Texas, on Nov. 15, 2022. Due to 20 mph winds, the sailboat's proximity to the Galveston jetties, and the potential for distress, the crew towed the vessel and its three passengers to the Galveston Yacht Basin.
