Coast Guard Rescues Lost Hunter Near Wales, Alaska
U.S. Coast Guard aircrews rescued a hunter reported missing near Wales, Alaska, on Sept. 13, 2023. An HC-130 Hercules aircrew from Air Station Kodiak dropped survival equipment. An MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew from Forward Operating Station Kotzebue then hoisted the hunter and took him to the Wales airport for medical treatment.
