Coast Guard Rescues 5 from Tug Off La Push
Coast Guard Sector Puget Sound watchstanders communicated with the 130-foot commercial tug Luther during a search and rescue case off La Push, Washington, on October 18, 2024. The tug lost steering 10 miles from shore while towing a cement barge. A 47-foot Motor Lifeboat crew arrived on scene, and the Coast Guard rescued the five people aboard.
