Coast Guard Medevacs 86-year-old from Carnival Dream Off Galveston
A Coast Guard Air Station Houston MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew medevaced an 86-year-old man from the cruise ship Carnival Dream on May 7, 2023, about 50 miles offshore Galveston, Texas. The man was reportedly experiencing gastrointestinal issues and other side effects after ingesting a battery. The helicopter crew hoisted him and transported him to the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.
