Coast Guard Interdicts Six Lanchas Off South Texas
On Feb. 6, 2024, a 26-foot over-the-horizon boat crew from Coast Guard Cutter Jacob Poroo surveyed red snapper aboard a Mexican lancha about 26 miles off the southern Texas coast. Coast Guard Cutter Jacob Poroo and Coast Guard Station South Padre Island crews interdicted six lanchas and seized 1,300 pounds of red snapper and shark.  ·  ·
