Coast Guard Hoists Stroke Patient Off Cruise Ship Near Cat Island
A Coast Guard Air Station Clearwater MH-60 Jayhawk crew, forward deployed in Grand Inagua, Bahamas, hoisted a man from a cruise ship on Oct. 9, 2023, after he suffered a stroke. The hoist took place 15 miles east of Cat Island, Bahamas. The passenger was transferred to emergency medical services in Nassau, Bahamas, and was last reported in stable condition.
