4 Rescued After High Flyer Grounds on Pelican Cay
A Coast Guard Air Station Borinquen MH-60T Jayhawk helicopter crew hoisted four men from the pleasure craft High Flyer on Sunday night, Oct. 31, 2021, after it ran aground on Pelican Cay in Saint Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. High Flyer is a 48-foot Viking Sport Fisher with Delaware registration. The vessel ended up on the rocks while reportedly transiting on autopilot. The boaters were taken to Cyril E. King airport in Saint Thomas, where awaiting Emergency Medical Service personnel rendered assistance.
