7 Rescued from Blue Dragon Fire 350 Miles West of Monterey
On Nov. 10, 2021, a Coast Guard Air Station Sacramento C-27 Spartan aircrew observed the commercial fishing vessel Blue Dragon on fire about 350 miles west of Monterey, California. The Coast Guard used the Automated Vessel Rescue System, AMVER, to work with the crew of Nord Rubicon and coordinate the rescue of the seven Blue Dragon crewmembers.
