295 Ft Superyacht Rams a Pleasure Vessel
On a bright sunny day, the 295-foot Lürssen superyacht Ice slammed into an anchored motoryacht in Turkey’s Bodrum Bay. Commissioned by a Russian oligarch, the $125 million mammoth, due to a locked rudder, collided with a pleasure vessel just a third of its size. The phase of motor yachts becoming a magnet for misfortune continues as the latest accident took place in Bodrum Bay, Turkey, involving the 295-foot Lürssen superyacht Ice and the 102-foot motor yacht A.Mey. The incident occurred on a bright sunny day with no visibility issues due to the rudders of the pleasure craft getting locked. It was once owned by Russian oligarch Suleiman Kerimov, known to be the alleged owner of motor yacht Amadea. The accident happened in the Bodrum district of Muğla in the evening leading to absolute chaos on the smaller A.Mey, designed to comfortably accommodate up to 10 guests in 5 suites. |

How fucking stupid do you have to be to let this happen!?! Even if the rudder was stuck the propeller could turn. Hit reverse and maybe not bash into the other boat Captain Witless. And why isn’t there a Captain on the other tiny yacht to hit the gas and maybe even move it out of the way. These fucking worthless fools. |
