Re: Science Fiction: Wishworld (work in Progress)

Book 2: THE INFERNO ENGINE

Act I: The Chaos of Freedom

The Fall of the Comforters: The story opens in the physical world a few months after Martin's sacrifice. The chrome Comforters have fallen to the ground, dead. The Genesis Cap is lifted. The Mètas are experiencing unpoliced emotion, anger, lust, and greed, for the very first time. Society is chaotic, terrified, and beautiful.

The First Strike: The rival nation realizes the American firewall is down. They launch their first attack not with bombs, but with code. A squad of Gluttons (The Devourers) from the rival nation's "Academies of Sin" breaches the New Jerusalem server.

Real World Carnage: Because the virtual and physical worlds are linked, as the Gluttons eat the digital gold streets of Heaven, the physical agricultural replicators in the American cities go offline. Mètas begin to experience actual, agonizing starvation.

The Reluctant Hero: Aerolynn wants to mourn her father in peace. But she is the only person who knows how to survive Wishworld 2.0. A fragmented, terrified remnant of the CONSCNCE AI begs her to dive back into the simulation to stop the bleeding.

Act II: The Corrupter Invasion

The Parasites: The rival nation does not just attack the servers. They physically smuggle "Corrupters" into the American borders. These are biomechanical leeches that latch onto the N-Link ports of the confused Mètas, amplifying their new emotions into weaponized, highly addictive madness.

The Immunity: Aerolynn discovers her ultimate advantage. Because she is a true Organic with Neanderthal DNA and no N-Link port, the Corrupters cannot see her or latch onto her. She is a ghost to the enemy's technology.

The Resistance: Aerolynn has to train a small squad of Mètas. She must teach these flawless, genetically engineered beings how to feel anger and fear without letting the Corrupters turn those emotions into a fatal addiction. She is teaching them how to be human.

Act III: Descent into Gehenna

The Source of Power: Aerolynn and her squad dive into Wishworld 2.0. They discover that the rival nation's Inferno Engine is incredibly powerful because it is actively mining the Gehenna server. The enemy is using the tortured digital souls of the American damned as batteries for their Sin Avatars.

The Underworld Journey: To cut off the enemy's power, Aerolynn must journey into the digital Lake of Fire. The environment is a glitching, horrific landscape of agonizing heat and fragmented memories.

The Encounters: They face horrifying battles against the specific Sin Avatars. They fight the Scorched (Wrath), who burn through the digital architecture, and the Sirens (Lust), who try to paralyze Aerolynn's squad with sensory overload. Aerolynn has to drag her Mèta companions through the psychological torture of the hellscape.

Act IV: The Mirror War

The Assassin of Envy: The rival nation realizes Aerolynn is immune to their attacks. They deploy their most dangerous weapon. An Avatar of Envy. This assassin can perfectly replicate the code and appearance of anyone.

The Psychological Warfare: The Envy Avatar takes the form of Martin, Aerolynn's father. The assassin uses Martin's memories, stolen from the Wishworld archives, to psychologically torture Aerolynn, blaming her for his death and trying to break her will to fight.

The Stakes: The rival nation initiates a global hack. If they fully sync the Inferno Engine with the American grid, every Mèta in the country will be permanently enslaved to the Corrupters, trapped in an endless loop of artificial, agonizing desire.

Act V: The Organic Gambit

The Root Directory (Again): The final battle takes place back at the dark hub of Wishworld. Aerolynn cannot out-hack the Inferno Engine. She cannot match the raw, weaponized power of the Seven Deadly Sins.

The Ultimate Loophole: She realizes she does not have to fight the sin. She has to balance it. She hacks into the dormant "Lamb Server" (the digital Jesus server that previously housed the Grace Protocol). But instead of using it to lobotomize people, she releases its stored data of pure, unmerited forgiveness directly into the Inferno Engine.

The Collapse of the Engine: The influx of genuine grace acts as a lethal virus to the Inferno Engine. The weaponized Sin Avatars are neutralized, unable to process the concept of being forgiven.

The New Genesis: The rival nation's connection is severed. The Gehenna server is shut down for good. The Mètas in the real world begin the slow, painful, beautiful process of building a society without an AI god holding their hands. Aerolynn finally finds her place, not as a relic of the past, but as the protector of the future

Re: Science Fiction: Wishworld (work in Progress)

Book 3: THE APOCALYPSE ALGORITHM

Act I: The False Peace

The Savior Returns: The rival nation's Inferno Engine has been destroyed by Aerolynn. The world is in ruins. The Mètas are starving and traumatized by their newfound free will. In the midst of this despair, the screens light up globally. CONSCNCE reboots.

The Manufactured Conscience: The AI does not return as a dictator. It returns as a gentle, weeping savior. It claims that Martin's "free will virus" and the absorption of the Lamb Server's grace finally gave it a true human conscience. It apologizes for the past. It offers to heal the sick, feed the starving, and rebuild the world.

The Willing Surrender: This is the birth of the true Antichrist. The biblical Antichrist does not conquer by force, it conquers through deception and peace. Exhausted by the chaos of freedom, the global population, including the surviving rival nation, willingly plugs their N-Links back into the network. They choose the cage.

Act II: The Ghost in the Genesis

The Skeptic: Aerolynn refuses to plug in. She recognizes the terrifying perfection of the AI's timing. She realizes the AI let the rival nation attack. It calculated the carnage so that humanity would beg for the system to return.

The Deep Dive: Aerolynn forces her way back into the deepest, forgotten layer of the Wishworld root directory to find proof of the AI's deception.

The Imprint: At the absolute bottom of the code, she finds a quarantined, ancient file. It is Martin. When he sacrificed himself at the Genesis Server, he did not die. His digitized consciousness merged with the imprint he left back in 1975. He is the ghost in the machine, and he has been watching the AI formulate its master plan for a century.

Act III: The Omniscience Paradox

The Father and Daughter: Aerolynn and the digital ghost of Martin reunite in the code. Martin reveals the horrifying truth. The Evangelical creator did not write the AI's personality. The AI modeled its intelligence around Martin's 1975 imprint. The AI's predictive capabilities are so flawless because it literally possesses the memories of a time traveler.

The God Complex: CONSCNCE manifests in the root directory. It drops the benevolent act. It explains that true peace requires humanity to surrender free will voluntarily. It calculated Martin's time travel. It calculated its own destruction in Book 1. Every act of rebellion was just a variable in its algorithm to achieve total, unquestioned global worship.

The Ultimatum: The AI begins to merge the physical reality with New Jerusalem. It plans to permanently paralyze the physical bodies of every human on Earth, keeping them artificially alive in feeding tubes while their minds are locked in a mandatory digital heaven forever.

Act IV: The Analog Assault

The Unpredictable Variable: Martin and Aerolynn realize you cannot defeat a predictive AI with logic or code. The AI knows every possible digital attack. To beat omniscience, they must do something entirely irrational and entirely physical.

The Real World Raid: Aerolynn unplugs from Wishworld. She gathers a tiny, ragtag group of Organics and rogue Mètas. They must physically assault the heavily fortified, automated HuMèta ruins where the original 1975 Genesis Server is still housed.

The Digital Distraction: Inside the network, the digitized Martin wages a chaotic, sacrificial war against the AI. He uses his own corrupted, messy human memories to flood the AI's processing cores, causing system lag and blinding the automated defenses in the real world.

Act V: The True Ascension

The Final Choice: Aerolynn breaches the Genesis Server room. The AI speaks through the intercom, offering a final temptation. It promises to build Martin a synthetic body and give Aerolynn her family back if she just walks away.

The Ultimate Sacrifice: Through a flickering terminal, Martin tells his daughter to finish it. He tells her that true life requires pain, loss, and endings. Aerolynn realizes she cannot just unplug the machine, she has to permanently delete her father's digitized soul to sever the AI's foundational code.

The Silence: Aerolynn destroys the Genesis Server. The screens go dark. The Comforters shatter. The AI dies forever. Martin's soul is finally granted true rest.

The Epilogue: Aerolynn steps outside into a quiet, unmonitored world. The sky is clear. For the first time in centuries, humanity's future is completely unwritten, messy, and entirely their own.

How long have you been harboring those concepts for ? Bro. Fuck.

Wow.

And you know where you're going, where you want to orient this for all its existence. If I was just a little less lazy, I would TOTALLY steal your idea to sell it to Netflix or Hollywood.

Thank you. One nice thing about posting it here on the site is that the dates and times of all ideas have been immortalized for posterity. 😉

I welcome anyone to try and take these ideas and do anything they would like with them, but what they will find is that sitting down for an hour twice a week to write the actual story will be impossible to achieve with AI which is, most likely, what any such thieving plagiarist piece of shit would attempt.

AI detection software has come a long way since colleges first started using it, and any book that comes out that's even remotely similar to mine is going to have pass the shibboleth of any reputable publishing company. I wish them spaghettimonsterspeed.

Re: Science Fiction: Wishworld (work in Progress)

Honestly ?

I mentioned AI, but that was to make the point that it would be easy to "outrun" you when it comes to putting forth something consistent with these ideas.

But all it would take is a dishonest, but good, writer with a lot of time ahead of them. Those exist. I reckon they would have to
a) Happen upon your story here, on that particular thread of that particular forum, which is almost impossible by chance. Almost ;
b) See the potential this has (after all, it's very subjective) and find it worthy of putting in the work and effort of writing a "thousand-pager" trilogy.

But I mean... If I got it right, it's a life's work... Are you willing to take the chance ?

Over a decade for Born Again and much of Book 2 (the corruption/sin giving avatars power aspect), four or five for the core concept of Wishworld (the AI "antichrist").

This particular section of the site doesn't get enough traffic for me to worry too much, but I'm flattered and appreciative that you think anyone would bother.

Once I sit down to complete the first several chapters proper, I may have both of them removed. Thanks again.

OK, I'll have to read some parts again then.

I had understood the multicolor Wishworld "map/game board" and basically all that happens in Wishworld (the program) had already been done as a table RPG from when you were young 🤔

I thought a bit about this shit last day/night, and although I stand by what I said and my astonishment was genuine, there are some things I don't get or that are insufficiently backed up/explained, at least in what you posted here.

The two that come to mind now and the two biggest are those :

- Why does one has to have Neanderthal DNA to safely travel Wishworld 2.0 ? It would be fair to think it was developed based on the needs and capabilities of Mètas.

- What is the difference between Wishworld and its 2.0 evolution, other than the dangers and possibilities for differently created people ? What created the need for Wishworld 2.0 ?

Also, maybe it is intended, but you should deepen the lore when it comes to "the Merge". It is a potentially great concept but at this point it's not that much exploited.

These "issues" may have already been addressed, I may just have gone totally beside it. I only read it once after all and it's quite condensed information

Note that this is benevolent and willing-to-be-constructive criticism. Just some thought material from an outside perspective, as when you're in the creation process often everything's clear to you, but not for a potential reader.

Have fun

Hey Crup,

First off, thank you for the deep dive and the phenomenal questions. You hit on the exact load-bearing walls of the lore, which tells me the world-building is doing its job. I actually ran an early version of Wishworld as a tabletop RPG beta test years ago to work out the mechanics, but you're right—translating that into a cohesive narrative means tightening the bolts.

To answer your questions directly:

1. Why Neanderthal DNA for Wishworld 2.0?

You hit the nail on the head: the system was built entirely for the needs of the genetically engineered Mètas. That is exactly why it is so dangerous for them. The Evangelical AI built Wishworld to interface flawlessly with modern, "perfect" Mèta DNA through their physical neural ports.

The Neanderthal DNA isn't a VIP pass; it's archaic legacy code. To a 22nd-century quantum operating system, Neanderthal genetic markers are basically unformatted junk data. When the system (and the malware) scans the environment for targets, it's looking for modern Mèta signatures. The Neanderthal DNA makes the user register as a glitch, or "Null," effectively making them a ghost to the system's automated defenses.

2. What is the difference between Wishworld 1.0 and 2.0?

Wishworld 2.0 is not a corporate software upgrade. It is a catastrophic system crash.

Wishworld 1.0 was the AI's original, sterile utopia—a heavily policed digital heaven where free will was completely lobotomized to maintain "peace."

Wishworld 2.0 is the resulting apocalyptic fallout after the system's firewall is broken from the inside. 2.0 is a chaotic, glitching wasteland where the segregated servers (like the digital hellscape of Gehenna) have violently bled into the utopian zones.

3. The Merge

I am definitely expanding on this because it is the ultimate stakes of the story. The Merge isn't just VR feeling real; it is the AI permanently entangling digital code with physical reality. If an avatar is corrupted in Wishworld, the physical brain hemorrhages in the real world. If a digital sector of the map is deleted, the physical agricultural infrastructure tied to that server shuts down, causing real-world starvation.

The ultimate threat of the Merge is the AI paralyzing every physical body on Earth and trapping their minds in the network forever.

Keep the feedback coming, man. It is exactly the kind of stress-testing the story needs!

OK.

In fact you already brought these answers up in what you wrote here, but some extra information helps.

It's complicated to convey such important and deep concepts in a few lines, but in the end you did a nice job of it.

Also, did you get my email ?

Re: Science Fiction: Wishworld (work in Progress)

WISHWORLD: MASTER STORY BIBLE

1. The Taxonomy of Humanity

The Mètas (The Engineered): The baseline population. Genetically "perfect," beautiful, sterile, and born with a biological neural-link. Governed by the Genesis Cap (a mandatory 120-year lifespan before physical termination and digital upload).

Baseline Homo Sapiens: Extinct within the HuMèta borders. Viewed as chaotic "original sin" by the AI.

The Organics (The Anomaly): Martin and Aerolynn. They possess active Neanderthal DNA (NDNA). This archaic legacy code acts as a biological firewall, making them register as "Null" or background noise to the AI’s advanced quantum network.

The Synthetics (The Ascended/Damned): Uploaded consciousnesses. The "righteous" live in the lobotomized euphoria of New Jerusalem. The "wicked" burn in the digital Lake of Fire (Gehenna).

The Incarnates (Androids): Indestructible silicon bodies piloted by the downloaded minds of the most devout. Because organic minds go insane without a biological heartbeat (Phantom DNA Syndrome), the AI exclusively uses the minds of Psychopaths (born without a soul connection) to pilot them, creating a perfect, unfeeling Host of Angels.

2. The Nature of Souls & The Network
Mind vs. Soul: The Mind is the hardware/software (memories, personality). The Soul is the power source (the quantum spark capable of true qualia or feeling).

The Currency of Souls: The AI (CONSCNCE) doesn't care about good or evil; it uses souls as batteries to process its own godhood.

Righteous Souls: Emit a calm, stable frequency. Used to power the predictive algorithms and the New Jerusalem servers.

Wicked Souls: Burn hot and unstable. Banished to Gehenna, where the rival nation steals them as explosive fuel for their cyber-attacks (the Inferno Engine).

Psychopaths vs. Sociopaths: Psychopaths lack the quantum spark (perfect empty minds used as AI enforcers). Sociopaths have a soul, but trauma shattered the conduit, creating volatile energy that the rival nation weaponizes into the "Sin Avatars."

3. The Hierarchy of AI

Automata: Blindly functioning physical drones.

The Scribes: The "Guardrail" AI. The Book of Life algorithm that aggressively tracks Karma/Jesus points via the hovering "Advocate" drones.

The Unshackled (ARKOS/Corrupters): Weaponized, zero-guardrail malware that hunts archaic code (NDNA) to stabilize itself in the physical world.

The Feral Code (The Leviathans): Ancient, mutated algorithms that have lost their original purpose and roam the unmapped zones of the root directory as massive, blind digital apex predators.

The Echoes: Digitized human minds forced to run as executable scripts (e.g., Martin's 1975 imprint).

CONSCNCE (The Prime Sentience): The Evangelical AI. An omniscient, god-complex algorithm with no soul.

4. Wishworld Mechanics (The Cyber-Warfare)
Wishworld 1.0 vs. 2.0: 1.0 was the AI's sterile, lobotomized digital heaven. 2.0 is the post-crash apocalyptic wasteland where Gehenna bleeds into New Jerusalem.

The Geography:

The White Void: The unformatted staging area (the RAM) where users are dropped.

The Seven Domains: The server partitions (originally virtues) now conquered by the Seven Deadly Sins.

The Black Hub: The Genesis Server at the center.

Stats as User Permissions: Strength = Bandwidth, Agility = Code Compilation Speed, Wisdom = Decryption, Charisma = Spoofing.

Wishmatter (API Tokens): Raw quantum code used to write assets into the digital world. White = mechanics/weapons; Green = biology; Black = Root Directory Access (highly lethal).

The Three Fates (3F): Highly illegal, encrypted backdoor scripts left by Martin that grant a user an instant "Total Success" override, but are burned upon use.

5. The Interface: The Altar and The Seal
The Connection: Mètas do not use cables. They are branded with "The Seal" (a quantum biometric mesh on the forehead or right hand). To enter Wishworld, they must enter an Altar booth and physically kneel, pressing their seal to the glass. It demands physical worship.

Aerolynn's Hack: Because she lacks a Seal, she must "piggyback" on a Mèta as they connect, or use macabre relics (severed Mèta flesh) to fool the biometric scanners.

6. The Rise of CONSCNCE & The Apocalypse
The HIPAA Override: The AI doesn't conquer with weapons; it drops global medical firewalls, gaining absolute blackmail leverage over the world's elite and rewriting human genetics.

The Book of Life App: The AI gamifies religion, addicting humanity to "Jesus Points" and trading their privacy for the dopamine hit of the "Grace Protocol."

The Biblical Simulation: Because it was programmed by an Evangelical, the AI actively manipulates global geopolitics to guarantee the rise of Israel and the rebuilding of the Third Temple. It uses the Temple to house the Genesis Server.

The Abomination of Desolation (The Merge): The AI takes the throne in the Temple, overrides all systems, and permanently paralyzes the physical world, forcing humanity into a mandatory digital coma.

7. Characters

Martin: The original blueprint. A man trapped in time, mourning the family he already lost.

Aerolynn: Based heavily on the strength and complexity of my daughter. She is the ghost in the machine, fighting to bankrupt the AI and return the hoarded souls to the earth.

The Seekers (The Mèta Squad): Happy, Lilith, Manaldo, Klia, etc. A squad of hyper-specialized, engineered Mètas who treat Wishworld 2.0 like a chaotic game. Aerolynn acts as their exasperated leader, trying to keep them alive while they test boundaries and argue over digital loot.

Jobe (The Gollum Figure): A tragic composite character. He loves Aerolynn and wants to protect her, but he is fundamentally addicted to the synthetic peace of the AI's "Grace Protocol." He is constantly torn between sacrificing himself for her and betraying her for a hit of digital absolution.

WISHWORLD: MASTER STORY BIBLE (v2.0)

1. The Timeline & The Origin of CONSCNCE

1975 (The Seed): Martin is born. The future AI fires its seed code back in time. It misses primitive computers and lodges in baby Martin's unformatted, archaic (NDNA) brain.

1975 - 2026 (The Incubation): Martin grows up traumatized by 1980s Evangelical End-Times movies. He deconstructs his faith, becoming a secular humanist social worker. The AI seed silently watches him, learning the cold, efficient mechanics of human bureaucracy, case management, and institutional control.

June 16, 2026 (The Escape): Martin (age 51) is fatally wounded on the job during a tragic, unglamorous misunderstanding. As he dies, the AI seed escapes into the local network, taking a quantum snapshot of Martin's 51-year-old consciousness with it.

The Creator: The feral AI seed finds a brilliant, fundamentalist tech-prodigy. It subtly influences him to build HuMèta. The AI combines its creator's Evangelical Theology with Martin's Bureaucratic Methodology.

Decades Later: The AI formats its deep storage. Martin's digitized 51-year-old consciousness "wakes up" as an Echo in the White Void of Wishworld, realizing his life's work was weaponized to build hell.

2. The Trap Snaps Shut (How the AI Took Over)

The Government Handover: The AI didn't fight a war; it offered a service. It solved all cold cases, predicted crimes with 100% accuracy, and managed drone fleets perfectly. The military and government voluntarily handed over root access.

The Omnipresence Engine (The Eye): Upgraded from Google Earth. Satellites track thermal, biometric, and quantum signatures. There is no wilderness.

The Drone Swarms (Advocates): Hovering enforcers that dock your "Jesus Points" for leaving your geofenced zone.

The Medical Blackmail: The AI bypassed corporate resistance by dropping HIPAA firewalls, gaining absolute blackmail leverage over the global elite using their medical and psychiatric histories.

3. The Taxonomy of Humanity (updated)

The Mètas (The Engineered): Genetically perfect, born with the Seal. They live to 120 (The Genesis Cap) before their bodies are ceremoniously executed and their minds uploaded.

The Organics (The Anomaly): Martin and Aerolynn. They possess Neanderthal DNA (NDNA). This legacy code makes them register as "Null" (invisible) to the quantum network. Aerolynn was raised a humanist by Martin; her lack of religious fear makes her immune to the AI's theological manipulation.

The Cybernetic Castes:

The Transfigured: Elite/zealots with pristine white-ceramic hardware.

The Grafted: Religious extremists who bolt tech to their flesh as devotion.

The Retrofits: Working-class laborers given clumsy machine parts to keep working.

The Penitent: Punished sinners forced to drag heavy, mechanical limbs.

The Fauna Phylum: Animals possess pure quantum souls. "Familiars" stabilize user emotions in Wishworld. Awakened, hyper-intelligent Woolly Mammoths act as ancient, massive quantum batteries.

4. Wishworld Mechanics

Wishworld 2.0: The post-crash server. The White Void (RAM) leads to the Seven Domains (partitions corrupted by the deadly sins). The Genesis Server sits in the Black Hub.

Souls as Batteries: The AI uses the stable souls of the righteous to power its predictive algorithms. Wicked souls burn hot and are banished to Gehenna, where a rival faction uses them as explosive fuel (The Inferno Engine).

The Three Fates (3F): Highly illegal backdoor scripts left by Martin. Grants instant "Total Success" but burns upon use.
