In western society dogs are seen as either working animals or companions to man, cats are cats but have been breed from their feral ancestors to be pets too....They are not considered as farmed animals, in the West the eating of 'pets' is a taboo  |

i understand it's not done humanly but if it were i would have no problem eating it. did you grow up on a farm? i did for a short period of my childhood.. turns out you can get just as attached to any animal as you can a cat or dog.... and if that animal happens to be raised for food, then it dies for that reason and is eaten. thus, i have eaten an animal that i felt a closeness too... it didnt bother me. so i guess i must be exterminated for im not as human as decent humane folks. |

to me, the idea of keeping a pet is sick... i understand all the pros of having pets and i understand that almost all of western society disagrees with me on that point but i see it as wrong. i see all animals as equal, therefore it makes no difference to me what kind of animal it is that we eat. if prepared right, i would taste a human. |

it's only crossing the line in your view, is my only point. i had a pet sheep.... he wasnt raised for slaughter, he was a pet. any animal can be a pet. to label one animal as food and another as not food because it's charming is a bit silly to me. |

honestly, i would too... i would eat a lot of people i know before i would kill an innocent animal.. but the way it's set up now, i dont have to kill anything (it's all done for me) and im not allowed to eat people i dont like so... lucky them, i guess.   |
