Game of Thrones Season Eight

Well many of you know I am a major GOT fan. I know some people are not just for the fact it is so popular. But I think it is an awesome story. I have wanted to put a review for a while but had done so in the Water Cooler and it was not so successful. .

So here it is and I want to hear reactions, thoughts, theories of what is to come. Just a warning for those catching up to season 8 there will be major SPOILERS in this review thread as we will be talking about the first three of the last six episodes and some major shit has happened. Please respond if you are a fan and want to discuss not to talk about how stupid you think the show/books are.

Re: Game of Thrones Season Eight

The Longest Night Season 8 Episode 3

This was the battle that was hyped for years and especially the week before. I have been arguing with my brother in law who was pissed it was so dark. I have to say I am kind of used to the dark shows as I watch a lot of bootleg stuff but I got the POV of Miguel Sapochnik who directed Battle of the Bastards (S6 E9). That was fucking awesome.

In my opinion this was an awesome battle too. The build up of tension during the first 15 minutes and watching the entire Dothraki army get slaughtered or understanding they were slaughtered by the lights going out one by one.

There was so much that happened so I will just highlight some things and hopefully someone will discuss. I think Arya was a total badass. I really think the Faceless men have had a hand in driving how everything plays out in more ways than we realize.

Well, for all we know it is just the one. Qyburn took the arm of that wight and was studying it hard and no one knows what he did to bring the Mountain back either. He appears to be somehow able to form some thoughts independently while the other wights were controlled by magic from the white walkers and Night King.

Since this show is great a curveballs they may make her win the entire realm or burn it all down. At least in the show. In the books it will not go down like that at all. I think he is waiting until the show finishes to make the books different or he has forgotten half of the characters storylines. I forget sometimes the last book ended where Jon Snow was killed. There is also another son of Rhaegar Targaryen alive.

Re: Game of Thrones Season Eight

Curious about your thoughts on the finale. I heard most people hated it...
