WWII Bomb Disposal Blast Damages Homes in Exeter
A controlled disposal blast for a discovered World War II bomb in Exeter was more powerful than intended, causing widespread damage. The initial 100-metre evacuation zone was extended to more than 400 metres. Debris damaged windows and cracked brickwork, with damage reported at homes more than 500 metres away. No one was injured or killed because the area had been evacuated.
