Wall of Flyover Collapses
The flyover is part of a National Highways Authority of India expansion project. It was completed only 10 months ago and had been operational for roughly 6 months before the failure. Approximately 50 to 60 feet of the flyover's side wall suddenly gave way. No one got injured.

Yeah, just stand there. I'm SURE that oncoming gasoline tanker can jump that gap. I saw it in a movie once.  |

Just looking at the exterior finish of the cement and of the bricking placement (even of those not immediately bulge-adjacent), I'd say this is one of the first of many upcoming similar section collapses.

Subpar materials lead to subpar longevity. Subpar thinking leads to money lost and in this case extensive waste. They’ll need to redo the whole thing from start to finish.  |
