Ulysse Collides with Moored Cargo Ship North of Corsica
On October 7, 2018, the Tunisian roll-on/roll-off ferry Ulysse collided with the Cypriot cargo vessel CLS Virginia north of Cap Corse. CLS Virginia was empty and moored about 28 kilometres northwest of Cap Corse when it was struck. Fuel leaked from the Cypriot vessel, creating a spill about 300 metres wide and 1 kilometre long.  ·
