They wear Spandex so they are motivated to pedal faster, so they don't get beat up so much. It's a motivational strategy by bicycle racers. Scientists estimate that anyone in Spandex has to pedal AT LEAST 15% faster to avoid bystanders waiting by the side of the road to pummel them. That guy on the back must take a lot of shit. 1 for being in that sport & getting ripped on by his friends because you can't have any dignity admitting to people & them seeing video of this, 2 having to smell sweaty man ass the whole time.
