SS Principessa Jolanda Sank After 1907 Launch
The SS Principessa Jolanda sank immediately after her launch in 1907. Excessive top weight caused the ship to list, and she was a total loss. A sister ship, Principessa Mafalda, was launched with much of its top weight omitted. It was later completed and entered transatlantic service. Jolanda's engines were salvaged and installed in another vessel.  ·
