North Korean Destroyer Damaged in Failed May 2025 Launch
A newly built North Korean destroyer was seriously damaged during a side launch in May 2025. State media said the stern launch slide departed first after a bogie failed to move in parallel, while the bow remained on the slipway. Sections of the hull bottom were damaged, disrupting the vessel's balance. Officials were detained over the accident. ·
