Re: Man Tapes F4 Tornado Ripping Through His House
Great job dad, freaking out and making your kid cry because you can't keep your shit together and be a man when your kid needs it. Useless cunt. So your house blew down. Shit happens. You're still alive, you're not hurt, and you're definitely rich enough to have insurance. I could understand them losing their shit if they found dead bodies littered through their house or their pet torn to shreds or something, but for fuck's sake, it's just stuff. You can replace and rebuild stuff. |

You could quite clearly hear several times the typical distress call of the average american " al ma gawd " , I was surprised tho not to hear them clapping

If this happened in the UK you'd have a few lost cars and some broken windows. Why the fuck do these people make their houses out of chip board?

Re: Man Tapes F4 Tornado Ripping Through His House
I remember June of 2013 a "tornado" hit he trailer park I was living in. All you heard was rain and leaves hitting the windows. At the time, I was pregnant with my daughter, so me being protected was the big priority. Long story short, we got lucky that a tree broke and was lifted across the street instead of it landing in our living room. Seeing the damage is just mind blowing and I understand the emotion.

Re: Man Tapes F4 Tornado Ripping Through His House
I've always been critical of the common stick frame construction method so prelavant in this country. Houses should be built stronger. There are a few options. You can build a house out of reinforced concrete which costs more but is still reasonable. You can build a house out of heavy grade steel columns and beams. Reinforced concrete is the best in tornados but can be a pain in construction. You can build a house with steel columns or concrete walls and impact resistant windows and withstand definitely an f-2 without damage that would make the house immediately uninhabitable. Nothing though will withstand an F-4 except reinforced cast in place concrete walls and roof and with no windows. Windows are the problem. If you want to live modern you need beautiful floor to ceiling windows with at least 10 foot ceilings. These even if impact resistant won't withstand an f3. The garage is also a very weak point. So a solution is to build part of the house out of reinforced concrete with no windows and a vault type door and either build the rest of the house stick frame or make the rest of the house stronger with the above noted materials and spend more money. What's important is that people have a place to go for safety when there is a tornado and where there is enough space to keep important things like photos and keepsakes that are irreplaceable. They do have concrete or steel tornado shelters that can be bolted to existing foundations or constructed outside the house bu these are often too small to store those important keepsakes. |

Oh hey everybody lets all live in an area where killer gusts of wind can rape everything in sight! No semblance of intelligence required! Just buy a plot, build a big home, populate it with white goods and irreplaceable shit and watch it go *poof* the moment these things arrive!" |
