KM Karya Indah Ferry Fire Off North Maluku
The passenger ferry KM Karya Indah caught fire at about 7:00 a.m. on May 29, 2021, near Limafatola Island in the Sula Islands Regency, North Maluku, Indonesia. The vessel was operating between Ternate and Sanana. All 181 people aboard were evacuated safely: 155 adults, 22 children, four elderly passengers, and 14 crew members.
