Glass Bridge Broken, Leaved 1 Dead 26.10.2023 - A tourist died after falling from a glass bridge that reportedly broke at The Geong tourist center near Limpakuwus Pine Forest, Banyumas Regency, Central Java, Indonesia on Wednesday. The incident resulted in the loss of one life while another was injured. Banyumas Police Chief, Police Commissioner (CP) Edy Suranta Sitepu said, his side received a report of the incident at about 10 am. "Based on information received, the victim who is a local tourist from Cilacap region, Central Java, Indonesia fell due to glass pieces on the floor of the bridge breaking. As a result, two individuals reportedly managed to cling to the safety handle on the bridge while two other female visitors were thrown down ," he said. He said that the police had closed the route on the bridge and were working with some experts from the Forensic Department to determine the cause of the crack that occurred on the bridge. "The police will also carry out an investigation and investigation against the manager of the tourism center including witnesses at the location. After they crossed the bridge, I suddenly heard the sound of glass breaking and when I turned around, two individuals had fallen down and two more had managed to hold on to the iron," he said. In the meantime, a witness known as Sanarto said that the group of tourists was seen going to the toilet before boarding the bridge. According to him, the staff at the tourism center immediately helped the victim who fell from a height of 10 meters. In fact, Sanarto is also said to have recited Surah Al Fatihah when taking the victim to the car before being sent to Prof. Regional Hospital. people on glass bridges shouldn't throw stones. And people who watch "Nash Bridges" shouldn't walk on glass ones!  |
