Police Officer Arrested After Car Explosion Reveals Cocaine

A female sergeant from the Buenos Aires Provincial Police found herself in custody after her vehicle exploded at a gas station in Salta, exposing a hidden cargo of cocaine. The incident occurred while the officer, who was on leave from her duties at the Seventh Police Station in La Matanza, was traveling with her three children. Tragically, one of the children sustained minor injuries in the blast.

The sequence of events unfolded when the officer pulled into a service station to refuel her car. Unexpectedly, the vehicle exploded, scattering traces of the illicit drug throughout the area. Investigations revealed that the gas tube of the car had been converted into a makeshift container, concealing approximately 20 kilograms of cocaine.

Swiftly responding to the situation, the National Gendarmerie (GNA) apprehended the suspect and confiscated the narcotics. Additionally, authorities seized five mobile phones belonging to the officer and her children. Unfortunately, one of the children required medical attention at a nearby hospital for a minor eye injury caused by the explosion.

While receiving treatment for her son, the accused provided an initial statement to the police, claiming that she was unaware of the vehicle's illicit contents and had recently retrieved it from a mechanical workshop. However, during a subsequent hearing before the federal judge of Guarantees of Orán, Gustavo Montoya, the officer chose to exercise her right to remain silent.

That’s what happens when you put gasoline in an electric vehicle.

Re: Police Officer Arrested After Car Explosion Reveals Cocaine

I was surprised at the ‘explosion’. I was expecting a big gasoline explosion, with a huge fireball and loads of destruction. Wtf happened??
Seriously, what happened that would tear the trunk apart like that?
You think they’d be worried about the coke, more than the car... But I’m still amazed by the car too! LOL

In Malaysia called NGV (Natural Gas Vehicle), Singapore CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) and both are the same concept except LPG powered vehicles .. there were some incidents caused deaths where private modification done using NGV/CNG system but using LPG source causes explosion due to weather condition is not permitted here .. LPG's in our country are mainly used for kitchen / cooking purposes and can't be kept in closed compartments, it must have breather ..

Common vehicles are Taxi's and Private owned, but also runs on fuel, something like Hybrid concept ..

I wonder if a packages of drugs were stuffed around the tank and either snapped a fitting or depressed a vent release button.

One good thing about drugsplosions is that the injury painkillers come with the blast.

Re: Police Officer Arrested After Car Explosion Reveals Cocaine

Battery for this car is probably in the trunk. Shorted it out to the point of explosion from the starter is my first guess.
