EE Lightning Ejection from 150 Feet at Hatfield
At Hatfield, UK, an English Electric Lightning test flight ended with the pilot ejecting at about 150 feet as the aircraft went into the ground. The pilot survived. No one else was injured, although a few tomatoes were damaged.  ·
