Champlain Towers South Collapse in Surfside, Florida
Part of the Champlain Towers South residential complex in Surfside, Florida, collapsed at about 2 a.m. on June 24, 2021. An entire wing pancaked into the rubble. At least one person was killed. Thirty-five people were pulled from the collapse, and 99 people were reported unaccounted for.
