During a 2012 Formula Truck practice session, driver Diumar Bueno lost all braking while travelling nearly 190 km/h on the main straight.

He tried to use the grass to scrub off speed but struck a tire barrier at an estimated speed above 160 km/h. The truck then went down a ditch nearly three stories deep and came to rest about 40 meters farther along, near an access route to the track facilities.

Bueno fractured both legs and his right arm, and later made a full recovery.
