Siargao Sports Gym Shelter Collapses in Super Typhoon Odette
A sports gym being used as a shelter in Siargao, Philippines, collapsed during Super Typhoon Odette in December 2021. The typhoon made its first landfall on the island at peak strength. Many local homes and hostels were built from wood, bamboo, and coconut leaves, and the island was widely devastated.
