Severe Storm Cuts Power to 1.4 Million in Sao Paulo
A severe, hurricane-level storm swept through Sao Paulo on Friday night, October 11. It destroyed a building and led to airport shutdowns. Around 1.4 million households were still without power well into Saturday, nearly 24 hours after the storm passed. The brief but intense storm disrupted millions in South America's largest metropolis.
