Re: New Orleans. Victims of Hurricane Katrina- NEW ADDED
I live in Louisiana. I live about an hour and a half from New Orleans. We got the hurricane, but the damage was not nearly as bad. I remember it being on the news all of the time. But I never imagined how gruesome it was.

Re: New Orleans. Victims of Hurricane Katrina- NEW ADDED
Me and family lost everything in Katrina, we left to Texas and when we was allowed to go back well the news only showed part of the story. We had guns on us at all times, shoot to kill, choppers flying right over your head with even more guns. This was in Kenner just right outside of New Orleans, New Orleans does have the highest crime rate but it is home. I love you NOLA.

Re: New Orleans. Victims of Hurricane Katrina- NEW ADDED
Not from Louisiana, but the day they showed that footage on CNN of the ppl on their roofs, the bodies, ppl in the streets and kids begging for help was surreal to me. I remember seeing an elderly woman in a wheel chair covered up with a blanket, to hide the death. She made it thur the storm, just to die in the street. Then the mass exodus out of the city. that was a fucked time! |

A freind of mines dad is a security contractor and ive heard stories that they were blastin looters trying to get into the rich protected parts of the city. Sounds pretty badass to me, its like a zombie outbreak but the zombies are just black people |
