Magnitude 4.1 Earthquake Strikes Linfen, Shanxi
An earthquake struck Linfen City in Shanxi Province on the evening of January 10, 2025. The tremor originated in Yaodu District at 8:31 p.m., with strong shaking reported in the area and nearby regions. Hundreds of residents fled to the streets. Local authorities initially estimated the quake at magnitude 4.4 based on a mobile alert. The China Earthquake Networks Center later revised it to magnitude 4.1.
